Job Responsibilities:

  • Exercise control of discipline, professionalism and ethics.
  • Supervise and monitor staff performance according to EPMDS.
  • Provide quality comprehensive Community Health Care package including Preventive, Promotive and Rehabilitation.
  • Facilitate and ensure proper clinical governance.
  • Ensure effective utilization and monitoring of all resources in line with cost containment plan for the facility.
  • Facilitate provision of clinical services, educational services and be involved in medical research.
  • Facilitate implementation of all PHC Reengineering requirements.
  • To assist in Departmental projects.
  • Evaluate and monitor compliance with clinical protocols, norms and standards within the clinic.
  • Monitor PHC outputs and services on a daily and monthly basis to review performance Evaluate PHC services in terms of standard outcomes and priority programmes, by accurate analysis of data
  • Facilitate Implementation of Quality Improvement Programmes to comply with NHI, Ideal Clinic and Office of Health Standard Compliance.
  • Ensure adequate control and allocation of Human and material resources including state vehicles.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Human Resource Management
  • Legal framework governing the Nursing Profession and the health system
  • Leadership, organizational, decision making, problem, conflict solving and counselling management and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of procedures and policies pertaining to nursing care   Knowledge of EPMDS, Ideal Clinic and Norms and standards   Data/lnformation Management.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary team setting
  • Ability to work and maintain meaningful relationship with a diverse community
  • Knowledge of Public Service legislation, Regulations and Policies   Program planning.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Current registration with SANC as General Nurse, Midwifery and Primary Health Care Nurse. Experience: A minimum of nine (9) years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General nursing.
  • Basic R425 qualification i.e. Degree/Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery plus 1 year post basic qualification in Primary Health Care as per R212 SANC Regulation.
  • Grade 12 (senior certificate).
  • Proof of current registration with SANC (2022 receipt)
  • Certificate of service (Proof of current and previous work experience endorsed and stamped by Human Resources Manager must be attached
  • At least five (5) years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in Primary Health Care as per R212 SANC Regulation.
