Job Description: The communications officer facilitates standardised communication, in line with organisational requirements. This position ensures consistent messages to different audiences, clients, suppliers and the media. They are responsible for collaborating with districts, implementing partners, community local leaders and civil society organisations involved in health programmes, and for the development of messages and IEC materials. The communications officer ensures that all communications activities are implemented jointly with the provincial TB communications teams Job Responsibilities: Coordinate events with other district stakeholders Support the development and implementation of the district TB communication strategy Work closely with the district communications and health promotion teams to promote TB awareness campaigns, and actively participate in district health campaigns e.g., World TB Day Compile accurate and timely reports of all communication-related activities Build capacity for districts’ communications and health promotion officers on the use of social media platforms to communicate messages. Ensure branding guidelines are adhered to and visible at events organised at district level Lead in the identification and documentation of best practices and success stories at supported districts Conduct district stakeholder mapping analysis and develop a stakeholder database Conceptualise health content to promote HIV/AIDS and TB awareness Develop, implement, and monitor communications activities Write newsletters on the implementation of the Global Fund grant support Participate in the design of demand creation for community outreach campaigns Job Requirements: Excellent organisational and administration skills Stakeholder management Reporting and statistics Problem-solving Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Computer literacy and IT skills Qualification & Experience: Valid driver’s licence and be willing to travel Three years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
