Job Description:

To plan, implement, maintain and support Network infrastructure, Network expansions and co-ordinate integrated activities across multiple functional lines including third parties to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements signed by SITA

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervision of staff
• Oversee the maintenance of the network infrastructure
• Plan and implement infrastructure
• Perform incident management and attend to escalated requests by Network engineers to ensure that service level agreements are met

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of: Organizational Awareness: Network Infrastructure IT and Government Industry IT Products and Services An in-depth knowledge of: Incident Restoration and network principles WAN principles and topology Internet, Application Layer protocols, services and standards Routers & Switches Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting A solid understanding of: Network Management VPN technologies and concepts Modems Carrier technology LAN Principles Cabling Principles Network Operating Systems Computer based knowledge and experience

Qualification & Experience:

3-year National Diploma or Degree in IT related field (Computer Science, Information Technology/Engineering, BCom etc). Certification in CCNA
5 – 6 years practical experience in Wide Area Network (WAN), Network topology, Network Design, Application Layer and routing protocols.
