Job Description:

The purpose of the Compensation Execution Specialist role is to provide support to the Compensation Execution team in executing various Compensation related activities. This role is accountable for participating in various parts of the Compensation Execution, providing administrative support and coordinating additional research, report inputs, data checks and general consolidation as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the integration and effective flow of work with other service, solution and business areas.
  • Ensuring data management processes adhere to continually changing privacy and legal compliance requirements.
  • Participating in the enablement of an employee wellness culture within the compensation execution team to ensure that employees are supported mentally, physically and emotionally.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the compensation execution function and related processes, to ensure ongoing process efficiency.
  • Identifying relevant technology requirements for the compensation execution team and ensuring optimal utilisation thereof.
  • Applying the Rewards Strategy, policies, procedures and frameworks for the Shoprite Group.
  • Adhering to governance structures, policies, processes, frameworks applicable to the role.
  • Participating in the enablement of a culture of open and transparent communication within the compensation execution team.
  • Assisting with the day to day, package structuring, execution of employee compensation and data administration applicable to the management of employee compensation in adherence to policies, procedures and specified timeframes.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of compensation execution within the FMCG, retail sector (Essential)
  • We value practical learning experiences, in the event that a candidate does not have a degree, demonstrable relevant experience will be considered. A proven track record of executing compensation related outputs (Essential)
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, legislation and regulations (Essential)

Qualification & Experience:

  • 2+ years in Compensation Execution / Remuneration or equivalent role, working within related compensation frameworks, policies, procedures and guidelines (Essential)
  • 2+ years Experience in retail buying (Desirable)
  • Matric (Grade 12) (Essential)
  • Degree in Human Resources, Financial or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar (Desirable)
