Job Description:

Coordinate with a variety of business units to develop, test and refine business processes and practices to provide the site and business unit with a competitive advantage within the commercial lubricants market

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with a variety of business units to develop, test, and refine business processes / practices.
  • Proactively address problem areas and improve inefficiencies.
  • Leverage data to drive continuous improvement in areas such as productivity, quality, customer service, and sales.
  • Design and implement changes to processes that improve results, reduces costs and eliminate waste.
  • Create a roadmap for tools and technology needed to ensure improvement in processes, including the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Develop proposals to streamline processes to allow for expansion objectives.
  • Teach lessons learned and key findings to departments with recommendations for changes and updates for training.

Job Requirements:

  • Follows appropriate methodology for increasing the effectiveness and/or efficiency of a business process, often through automation.
    Shows ability to define a problem, search for information, and test a series of solutions until the problem is solved. Capable of critical thinking, analysis and persistence.
  • Demonstrates ability to continuously improve the quality of process output, based on five fundamental principles of Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, Measurement, Total Involvement and Systematic Support.
  • Plans, organises, and manages tasks and resources to accomplish a well-defined objective, usually within constraints of time, resources, and cost.
  • Creates experiences for people that reveal new possibilities, while uniting them to drive strategies that harness the resources to win in the marketplace.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 11 years relevant experience with 3+ years of experience related to operations excellence in the petroleum product industry, preferably with a focus on lubricants.
  • University Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with the production of lubricants, especially poly-grade lubricants, a distinct advantage.
  • Post-graduate Degree in relevant field will be an advantage.
  • Experience with the design of standard operating procedures and project management strongly preferred.
