Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft conversion of Licensing Term Sheets into Licensing Suite of Agreements vis-à-vis Licence Agreement; Engineering Services Agreement,
  • Performance Guarantee Agreement, Reactor Services Agreement and support on Catalyst Supply Agreement in collaboration with Principal Licensor.
  • Co-develop and deliver Licensor Preliminary Design Packages (PDP) and Licensor Engineering Design Packages (EDP) through collaboration with Engineering support, Licensor Support Contractor and Partner Licensors.
  • Support and deliver on allocated early engagements, following initial contact, with prospective Licensees (general enquiries from market, proposals/early engagement packages e.g. high-level mass balance; yield estimates and indicative costs), while also ensuring confidentiality agreements are entered into as required.
  • Ensure Lessons Learnt / Best Practices are captured and shared between the licensees as well as incorporated in the latest technology offering.
  • Support Principal Licensor(s) and interface with the market to ensure a pipeline of licensing/equity opportunities to feed into the venture development and execution space.
  • Responsible for responding to market enquiries, assessing market opportunities, identifying prospective clients to approach and preparations of proposals / early engagement packages
  • Collaborate and maintain alignment with Sasol’s partner licensor and Licensor support Contractor throughout the early engagement phases up to feasibility/FEED.
  • Enable the selection of the Sasol/Topsøe technology by prospective licensees, by producing early development technical deliverables of high quality, promptly.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Certification & Professional Membership
  • 8+ relevant technology and engineering experience
  • BEng. Chemical (minimum), with Post Graduate Honours Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Registered professional engineer preferred
