Job Description:

Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitates lessons learned and project closure process.
• Plans and executes user testing in consultation with business and technical teams.
• Defines, structures and costs the work that must be completed to deliver the project.
• Liaises with the technical teams to understand and agree work-around for technical issues as they arise.
• Identifies and agrees the project stakeholders and stakeholder’s groupings. Develops and ensures the execution of the communication plans during initiation and throughout the project.
• Adopts and adapts the project standards and approach to be used in consultation with the PMO.
• Supports the business in identifying the benefits realisation ‘journey’ – how benefits will be realised and what measures should be in place
• Align with CAB processes.
• Identifies the need for internal/external services. Manages selection and engagement of service.
• Identifies ongoing support needs and ensure these are engaged and in place.
• Prepares the project/programme budget for review with the PMO, SGT management team and Project Sponsor. Apply for funds to be released for project execution – Sponsor approval. Manages the budget throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supports the business in identifying the benefits realisation ‘journey’ – how benefits will be realized and what measures should be in place.

Qualification & Experience:

• Project Management Tools
• Project Life Cycle
• 5 years of experience in managing medium to large complexity programs reporting into CIO’s or Executive Heads
• Experience in managing infrastructure projects or infrastructure on Business projects in a multi-Client and multi-vendor environment
• Relevant IT or Project Management qualification
• Project Management methodologies
• Project Management Knowledge w.r.t.:
• Managing Financial/Life Insurance related application development projects
• Project Planning and Control techniques
• Principles of Project Management
• Experience in Business Case Development and estimations
