Job Description: To sample final product and receive and prepare all samples delivered to the Laboratory according to prescribed sample preparation procedures Job Responsibilities: Carrying out any sampling activities as per procedure Dispose of all redundant samples Participate in formal SHEQ Audits Perform sieve sizing analyses on samples and reporting on LIMS Logging of near-miss on IMS Marking and labelling of sample tags and sample containers Complete checklists of equipment prior to use Logging and receiving of samples on LIMS Perform moisture analyses on samples and reporting on LIMS Cleaning of the workplace to ensure that sample contamination does not take place and that the sample preparation process can be completed in a professional and appropriately scientific manner Physical receiving of samples as per procedure Prepare pressed sample discs and load sample for XRF analyses Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox) Adhere to all Quality standards as determined by ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 requirements Adhere to all Samancor Chrome SHEQ standards and requirements relating to Safety Health and Environment Storing of reference samples according to specifications and colour codes Job Requirements: Contributing to Team Success Communication Adaptability Adhering to Values Interpersonal Skills Work Standards Qualification & Experience: Exposure to a Laboratory Information Management System would be advantageous Computer Literacy 1 year relevant experience Grade 12/ N3 with Mathematics and Science Job Details: Company: Samancor Chrome Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Witbank, Mpumalanga, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
