Job Description: The Radiation Therapy Manager is accountable for the leadership of the unit, to ensure the sustainable performance of the business, alignment to the Netcare values, fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment and to render and promote quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards / policies. Job Responsibilities: Ensure Netcare remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients. Be part of the value chain in providing cancer services. Keep abreast of issues affecting health care companies and the oncology industry. Oversee and ensure equipment are maintained and serviced according to supplier specifications. Provide strategic input and implement key performance areas for the business unit. Participate Cancer awareness campaigns. Transformation targets Ensure that continuous education is in line with the HPCSA’s requirements. Gain knowledge in current research publications in oncological treatments. Demonstrate leadership by conveying a strong sense of commitment to the Netcare values. Identify marketing plans for new and existing products and services. Identify areas for change and new business opportunities for the business unit as potential growth areas. Participate in clinical research through the Netcare ethic committee. Ensure achievement of transformation goals as set out by the Transformation Committee. Keep up to date with the latest treatment protocols and advances in technology. Be involved in Radiation Therapy research and quality improvement initiatives. Job Requirements: Sound knowledge of radiation principals. Computer literacy. Preferred - Management experience. Clinical radiation therapy experience. Qualification & Experience: A higher diploma or degree in Therapeutic Radiography at NQF level 7. Registration with the HPCSA as a Therapy Radiographer.
