The National Operations Manager will be responsible to contribute to the overarching business unit strategy by providing integrated delivery solutions to support the achievement of the Medicross operational goals in the following

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maximise the use of physical space by coordinating the use and assignment of space.
  • Drive standardisation and benchmarking.
  • Analyse and monitor implemented changes to business processes and making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures through ongoing training and monitoring.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of all operations nationally.
  • Develop and facilitate performance standards in conjunction with the management team.
  • Develop management reports to measure productivity and patient and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement and evaluate strategic projects and develop reports to track progress of projects.
  • Assist in budget planning, resource allocation, and scheduling to implement process improvements.
  • Ensure document control for all Standard Operating Procedures aligned to group standards.
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient volume and services while continuing to control expenses.
  • Guide and supervise personnel who were assigned specific tasks.
  • Drive a continuous performance culture within the regional operations teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent planning, organizing and control / follow-up skills are essential.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions.
  • Must be customer care oriented.
  • Must be able to use initiative.
  • Computer proficiency in relevant packages (Microsoft Office).
  • The position will require travelling across provinces.
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others by establishing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Proven track record of an understanding of business process management.
  • A relevant Degree or relevant advanced diploma in business management and or project management at a NQF level 7.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in the healthcare environment.
  • Project management and business analytics experience would be preferable.
