Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the governance of clinical and non-clinical data essential to Life Healthcare’s operations and the analytics functions that inform strategy. Job Responsibilities: Manage sources of reference information for both internal and external providers. Point of escalation with privacy and security office in terms of data risks and non-compliance identified (e.g. poor data protection and security being applied; ensuring requests for data for a new purpose or use cases are defined and approved; Provide data support to the user community. Create and maintain data inventories as systems and processes are introduced. Technical support and reports to be generated for data owners/custodians to effectively manage existing retention rules and retention criteria (deletion of redundant data). Ensure data in use is appropriately labelled (category) and classified (Public; Internal; Confidential, and Restricted.) Assist with the resolution of data quality issues. Adhere to global best practices and keep up-to-date with data governance developments. Responsible for developing data and business glossaries for all data sources. Maintain a list of data owners (department process owner), data custodians (data champion for the department) and authorised users of data (internal and external).
