Job Description:

Provide strategic event marketing guidance to business and marketing managers. Ensuring events deliver against business objectives. Events are benchmarked against global best practice and deliver the desired brand experience. Formulate an in depth understanding of marketing strategies and business requirements to ensure the team effectively utilise events as a platform for the attainment of business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Put strategic plans in place together with marketing to ensure best ROI on event marketing spend.
  • Provide advice to the business regarding the research and planning of events to ensure the most appropriate and cost effective solution in line with business needs and budget constraints.
  • Cost control and budget management of factors managed within the project team.
  • Ensure that standards set for event management are maintained and applied to all forms of events held.
  • Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the current structures and processes and improve on these.
  • Close consultation with business unit marketing and executive stakeholders to ensure that business and marketing objectives are understood and catered for in terms of conferencing, exhibitions, meetings, hospitality and client hospitality.
  • Ensure that all external and internal events are aligned with the business unit’s marketing calendar and business objectives and that sponsorship properties and marketing activities are effectively leveraged to the benefit of the business and the brand.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in conferencing, incentive and events marketing and management.
  • Bachelors degree preferable
