Job Description: Penryn NPC, situated in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is an independent co-educational school with a Christian ethos, linked to the Methodist Church. Job Responsibilities: Securing a positive ethos Lead the Senior Management team to ensure that the vision and policies are achieved Meet weekly with the Business Service Managers Work with the marketing department to ensure there is a strong marketing plan Build relationships within the school, the broader educational sector, the community, and donors Lead the development and implementation of the Cambridge syllabus alongside our current IEB syllabus Raising learners’ aspirations and attainment Support the Penreach vision and activities Develop and implement transformation and development program Lead, motivate and inspire the staff, scholars, and parents of Penryn Marketing and ensuring a full school Ensure that school accounts and records are properly kept Make appropriate use of funds in consultation with relevant stakeholders Grow scholar and boarding numbers to reach strategic capacity Job Requirements: Time management, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills Understanding the business of the independent school High level of technical skills; Microsoft office and Google suites Good budgeting and analytical skills Ability to listen, negotiate and resolve conflict when it arises Excellent communicating, planning, organising, and reporting skills Qualification & Experience: Relevant professional qualification. Honours degree in Educational Management or Masters in Education would be advantageous. 7 years of experience in a leadership position in a school structure. Member of SACE. Fluent in English and at least one other South African Language. Extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning and the application of 21st century practices in education.
