Job Description:

St John’s College is looking to appoint a Head Coach of Cricket from September 2022. The position of the Head Coach of Cricket will provide a technical, managerial and strategic oversight of cricket. The successful candidate is expected to play an active role in developing and inspiring a passion for cricket

Job Responsibilities:

• Coaching throughout St John’s College from Pre-Preparatory to College 1st team level.
• The promotion of a positive ethos and culture within cricket that are in line within the values of the school.
• Maintaining all equipment within the centre to an excellent order and repairing equipment where possible.
• Managing the indoor cricket centre.
• Preparing cricket’s overall physical and technical programme.
• The selection and management of the coaching team.
• General duties as instructed by the Director of Sport.

Job Requirements:

• Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
• Have an appreciation of the traditions and Anglican ethos of the school
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• A FISA Coaching Level 1/2/3 Certificate
• Video analysis expertise
• Minimum of three years relevant working experience
• An interest and commitment to developing the whole child athlete
• The ability to work positively with fellow coaching staff, parents and relevant stakeholders
• The ability to develop new ideas and work cooperatively to sustain them
• A strong cricket background in playing, coaching and managing
