Job Responsibilities: Understanding the developmental, emotional, social and educational issues of children Involvement with the identification, application, training and coordination of accommodations. Coordinating academic, social and emotional support in collaboration with the Support Team. Proficiency in administration, scoring and interpretation of psychometric instruments. Contributing to various meetings with Management, Staff, Support Team and Parents. Providing specialist counselling services within a learning environment. Planning, participation and presentation of Staff Development sessions. Assisting with the intake, application and admission of prospective boys. Proven experience in working with individuals and groups. Job Requirements: Commitment to personal growth and the development of others. Be able to work under pressure. Aware of diverse ethnic, social and cultural backgrounds. Have a qualification as a Psychologist and must be registered with HPCSA. Have an appreciation of the traditions and Christian values of the school. Possess proven qualities such as empathy, organisational skills, teamwork skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have a thorough understanding of various barriers to learning and support requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and proposals.
