ISASA Teaching Vacancies – Campus Head

Job Description:

In the short term, our Skye College Campus Head will be responsible for leading the school and building a community where students thrive. The Campus Head will oversee the transition to the brand new custom developed campus and growing and guiding the school to Johannesburg’s most exceptional learning community. The Campus Head will also act as the head of one of either the Prep or High School.

Job Responsibilities:

• Equip teachers to implement evidence based teaching and learning strategies
• Ensure that the school has effective internal systems, processes, policies and procedures;
• Create a supportive environment and minimise non educational demands on teachers;
• Collaborate with the Thrive.ed CORE Support team (as the case may be)
• Develop, together with the Board, an annual operating budget and financial targets for the school;
• Takes full responsibility for delivery of budgets
• Ensure priority education goals are resourced;
• Make sure our learners are safe;
• Direct involvement in the evaluation of teaching in the classroom;

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum requirement is a recognised degree and/or a 4 year post matric teaching qualification;
• Experience with Cambridge Curriculum and Montessori Method advantageous;
• 5 years experience in a senior management role (similar to our Campus Head role);
• Excellent reputation and track record;
• Demonstrated success in implementing research based internationally minded educational best practice;
• 5 years of teaching experience;
• Registered at SACE.
• Masters’ degree or higher advantageous;
