Job Description: To lead and align the Operations value chain function in an operating company through the development and implementation of a functional strategy and operating model, enabling a high-performance culture, client satisfaction, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements. Job Responsibilities: Ensure self-inspections, maintain SOP’s, comply with health and safety and ISO 9001 standards. Align and integrate a value chain function with internal & external client requirements as well as market trends and other business intelligence Develop, expense and Capex budgets for operational function, continuous cost control Collaborate with EXCO members for exploration of new business ideas and refinement of existing service provision Communicate with senior management of the Client companies in respect of service provision with regards to warehousing and distribution. Manage supplier base within specified constraints of cost, service, qualification, and BEE requirements Manage Operational activities (receiving, warehousing, picking, packing and dispatch) ensuring efficient performance and agreed service levels. Develop and maintain security systems at all sites, deploy human resources and ongoing risk analogy of business. Maintain Business Continuity with deployment of necessary operational equipment to support service provision, as well as maintenance of such equipment.
