Job Requirements:

  • Evidence of post-graduate supervision (Masters and PhD students) in Biostatistical methodology and applied Biostatistical research.
  • At least a National recognition in the field of Biostatistics.
  • Evidence of strong academic background and peer-reviewed ISI publication record in Biostatistics or book chapters, with at least 3 as first author in ISI journals
  • Ability to generate funding from projects managed from statistical perspective or as a health project statistician.
  • Ability to interact with relevant stakeholders on statistical issues at the Health and Epidemiological project levels for research translation.
  • The ability to undertake and lead research projects in Biostatistical methodology and applied Biostatistical research project; or being a co-investigator or study statistician in Health-related projects.
  • Evidence of managerial experience.
  • Evidence of strong teamwork to successfully work in a project team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate statistical concepts and information to non-statisticians in Health and Clinical Sciences.
  • Thorough knowledge of statistical methodology in Health and Expertise in a specialized field of Biostatistics.
  • Evidence to mentor, motivate and teach statistical science and technical staff.
