Job Description:
Operating the water treatment plant or waste water treatment plant
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform any other legitimate activity as required
- Operate allocated plant (Operate the Cooling Water, Water Treatment Plant and Coal Sampling Plant
- Chemical Dosing Operation
- Operate the Sewage Treatment Plant
- Conduct Basic Chemical Analysis
- Form part of the fire and rescue team as required
Job Requirements:
- Behavioural (integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, professionalism)
- Knowledge (PSR and ORHVS authorisation, Water Treatment plant and training course, First Aid and Fire Fighting, Health and Safety
- Representative course, Certified Chemical Plant Operator (DWA) Hazardous Chemical substance handling course, Hazmat course
- Skills (Computer Literacy, Good Communication, Report Writing, Basic Chemical Analysis)
- Leadership (Team player, motivating teams, coaching, mentoring, developing etc)
- Assessment
Qualification & Experience:
- Grade 12 or N3 with Maths & Science plus NQF3
- 1 Year related experience
