Job Responsibilities: Manage the financial monitoring and reporting processes associated with the activities of the Department to ensure accounting and financial procedures are complied with, accurate records maintained and reporting deadlines complied with enabling and supporting functional areas towards accomplishing service delivery objectives Manage governance and risk management activities in the Department to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements Disseminate information on outcomes, current developments, problems and constraints and/or present the approach and interventions of specific key performance areas ensuring information, advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and/or communicated through the various mediums and accurately interpreted through the provision of adequate and clear explanation Direct and control the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel within the functionality and activities in the division to ensure that a climate conductive to promoting and sustaining motivational and performance level is cultivated and maintained. This will enable the Department to accomplish statutory obligations, service delivery objectives and outcomes Manage and control the formulation and implementation of Departmental administrative and financial procedures, systems and controls and forwards/ present recommendations to support amendments, to the immediate superior and/or Council's committees to ensure policies and procedures contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department and complies with the standards, rules and requirements embodied in regulations and acts Align functional key performance areas to support strategic objectives of the Department to ensure the division is positioned to enhance and promote quality service delivery, identified as priority in the IDP of the City and relevant statutory legislation Qualification & Experience: Bachelor of Administration (BPublic Admin) or BCom Business Management Degree or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification 8 years' relevant management experience, of which at least 4 years must have been at senior management level NQF Level 5 Finance Management qualification (MFMA) in terms of National Treasury requirements will serve as an advantage Job Details: Company: City of Ekurhuleni Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
