Job Description: Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a Dispensary Manager for their Kathu store, Manage and supervise the dispensary, including self-medication and staff. Ensure the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patients’ related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs Job Responsibilities: Ensure Schedule 6 medication is locked away, and that the register is maintained and balanced quarterly Capture script details accurately and verify patients’ details on the system Follow stock ordering process to reach maximum purchasing compliance Ensure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed, and that staff work within their scope of practice Ensure accurate picking/packing/labeling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions Ensure expired stock is regularly disposed of and kept separate to usable stock Prepare for stocktake in advance Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC Maintain stock levels Ensure SAPC registration and annual registration fees are kept up to date Provide accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied Ensure negative stock is investigated and managed daily Ensure Good Pharmacy Practice rules regulations are adhered to by staff Job Requirements: Good communication skills, listening English and second language – Read, write and speak Basic dosing and important drug interaction Supervisor experience, and able to lead by example Customer service/focus Conflict management Strong attention to detail Sound numerical skills Ability to train other staff members Qualification & Experience: Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) Registered tutor BPharm / equivalent qualification Grade 12 / Matric Sound numerical skills Unisolv experience Experience in supervising staff Computer literate – MS Office Job Details: Company: Dis-Chem Pharmacies Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Kathu, Northern Cape., SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
