Job Description: Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Heidelberg store. Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patient's medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs. Job Responsibilities: Correct errors on scripts rejected by medical aid Facilitate bi-annual stock takes Maintain customer profiles on the system Process all paperwork necessary for the accurate submission of claims to medical aids Advise and assist patients at the dispensary, self-medication and front-shop Exercise stock, cash and asset control Receive dispensary stock in accordance with Dis-Chem’s SOPs, and merchandise according to FEFO Explain medical aid costs to patients Provide information to individuals in order to promote health Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing Follow up with patients regarding script tracking report as requested by the dispensary manager, and follow up on appointments Merge profiles locally and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally Report on low / out of stock levels, and stock errors to the dispensary manager Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy by and signed by a pharmacist Give accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied Ensure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS and oncology medication Take note of any message on the customer profile, and take suitable action Job Requirements: Able to deal with pressure Strong attention to detail Good communication skills, listening Team player Trustworthy and honest Sound numerical skills Customer service/focus Problem-solving Time management Qualification & Experience: Strong command of the English language and a second language Computer literate – MS Office Grade 12 / Matric Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) Working experience on Unisolv Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification Willing and able to work retail hours Sound numerical skills Job Details: Company: Dis-Chem Pharmacies Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Heidelberg, Gauteng, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
