Job Description: Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Tshwane Regional Mall store. Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patient's medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs. Job Responsibilities: Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines or scheduled substances Follow up with patients regarding script tracking report as requested by the dispensary manager, and follow up on appointments Assist with the ordering of medicine and scheduled substances up to, and including, Schedule 6 according to an instruction of a person authorised in terms of the Medicines Act to purchase or obtain such medicine or scheduled substance Give accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied Assist with the manufacturing of a non-sterile medicine or scheduled substance according to a formula and standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist Provide information to individuals in order to promote health Advise and assist patients at the dispensary, self-medication and front-shop Assist with re-packaging of medicine Assist with the distribution and control of the stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines or scheduled substances Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy by and signed by a pharmacist Explain medical aid costs to patients Assist with the compounding, manipulation or preparation of a non-sterile medicine or scheduled substance according to a formula and standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing Assist with the reading and preparation of a prescription’ the selection, manipulation or compounding of the medicine; the labelling and supply of the medicine, in an appropriate container following the interpretation and evaluation of the prescription by a pharmacist Ensure accurate picking /packing/labelling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions Job Requirements: Strong attention to detail English and 2nd language – Read, write and speak Good communication skills, listening Problem-solving Sound numerical skills Customer service/focus Qualification & Experience: Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) Strong command of the English language and a second language Working experience on Unisolv Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification Grade 12 / Matric Sound numerical skills Computer literate – MS Office Job Details: Company: Dis-Chem Pharmacies Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Pretoria, Gauteng, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
