Job Description: Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Post Basic Qualify Pharmacist Assistant for their Jubilee Mall store. Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patient's medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs. Job Responsibilities: Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy by and signed by a pharmacist Capture script details accurately, and verify patients’ details on the system Assist with the distribution and control of the stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines or scheduled substances Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing Assist with the ordering of medicine and scheduled substances up to, and including, Schedule 6 according to an instruction of a person authorised in terms of the Medicines Act to purchase or obtain such medicine or scheduled substance Assist with the reading and preparation of a prescription’ the selection, manipulation or compounding of the medicine; the labelling and supply of the medicine, in an appropriate container following the interpretation and evaluation of the prescription by a pharmacist Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines or scheduled substances Assist with the manufacturing of a non-sterile medicine or scheduled substance according to a formula and standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist Ensure accurate picking /packing/labelling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions Assist with re-packaging of medicine Give accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied Assist with the compounding, manipulation or preparation of a non-sterile medicine or scheduled substance according to a formula and standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist Job Requirements: Computer literate – MS Office Able to deal with pressure Time management Trustworthy and honest Sound numerical skills Strong attention to detail English and 2nd language – Read, write and speak Problem-solving Customer service/focus Team player Good communication skills, listening Qualification & Experience: Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification Sound numerical skills Strong command of the English language and a second language Working experience on Unisolv Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate Computer literate – MS Office Willing and able to work retail hours Grade 12 / Matric Job Details: Company: Dis-Chem Pharmacies Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Hammanskraal, Gauteng, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
