The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for self-motivated individuals to ensure SANBI’s employees are remunerated according to agreements and legislation, at correct amounts and on time; to ensure that employees’ benefits are implemented according to internal policies.

- Payroll administration;
- Remuneration and payroll Administration;
- Payroll payments; and
The following competencies are required for the candidates to be successful in this position: extensive experience in customer service and payroll packages (eg: VIP, PERSAL); advanced knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Pension Fund legislation. Excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, MS Word. The possession of a valid driver’s licence with at least one-year practical driving experience will be advantageous and a willingness to travel.
Qualification & Experience:
This position requires a diploma in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification with NQF 6. Degree, or equivalent qualification at NQF 7 will be an advantage. This position also requires 3 years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration.
