Amazon is seeking German customer-focused, values driven, passionate, articulate, detail-oriented and disciplined applicants with a desire to contribute to world-class customer service in a Virtual (Work from Home) environment on a permanent basis (40 hours per week as per scheduled shifts). Amazon Customer Service Associates are a critical part of our mission to deliver timely, accurate, and professional customer service to all Amazon customers.

Please Note: As part of your application, you will be required to complete various assessments. These assessments can take up to 3 hours and are timed, so please start these assessments when you are ready and, in an environment where you are able to focus on completing the assessment. The assessment is not compatible with a mobile device and is required to be completed on a laptop or desktop computer with a fast-stable internet connection.

Please note that this is a Work from Home / Virtual Customer Service (VCS) position and you may reside anywhere in South Africa as long as you have a Fibre internet line at home.

The Role At a Glance

  • Assist, resolve and respond to all customers and on amazon.de (mostly English customers in Germany or across Europe) via phone, email and chat
  • Meet or exceed quality and productivity goals assigned by management

Type of Role: Permanent – Full time

We operate in a 24/7 environment supporting the EU (DE) market. Most of our shifts end at 1:00 in the morning and the shift assigned to you will require that you work over weekends and public holidays. An example of a typical shift is Tuesday to Saturday, 4pm to 1am. For this reason, the roles are not open to students as we cannot guarantee the ability to provide you with specific days or times off to attend lectures and write exams.

Minimum/Basic Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed NQF Level 4 or a Matric qualification or higher
  • German (A2 or higher) & English communication skills
  • Minimum 12-month service industry experience
  • Computer knowledge (speed, accuracy and navigation)
  • South African Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • An existing and dedicated uncapped Fibre line of no less than 10Mbps
  • Home environment free from background noise where you can connect the equipment directly to the router/modem via Ethernet cable. It must also be in a separate private area where family members and friends don’t interrupt you
  • Note: ADSL, LTE lines and Wi-Fi connections are not eligible for this role. A detailed proof of connectivity will be required i.e. internet account must be in your name and at your home address and confirm your line is Fibre and the internet speed is at least 10Mb download
