We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights. We are currently seeking a Creative Coordinator to work with our South Africa Originals development team. In this Cape Town-based role, you will support multiple creative executives on a range of projects, provide a second set of eyes on scripts, sourcing global talent options, syncing productions, finding writers and editors to consult, and evaluating pitches. The role will also provide lots of coverage and feedback to creatives. You will use your excellent organizational skills to respond to situations and events that require quick action or turnaround; and efficiently and creatively solve interesting and complex problems that affect the teams you will be working with. Key job responsibilities Assist in managing the project submission process and upkeep of submission logs Administrative support for multiple executives (e.g. team scheduling, travel logistics, research) Development tracking as well as providing notes on submitted scripts, pitches, treatments, and cuts Assist with the management of development, production, and post-production logistics Coordination with other internal departments such as marketing, press, business affairs, legal, and production Track writers and directors Support of creative projects. Create weekly development report Participate in the planning of special events when requested Basic Qualifications Experience as an assistant at a studio or production company or experience as a creative executive Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. Experience of scripted, unscripted, or movie creative development, preferably at a network, studio, management company or talent agency. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint Preferred Qualifications Interest in all forms of television and movies, as well as pop-culture and emerging trends Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Creative problem-solver. High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information Awareness of producers, production companies, agents, and other industry players Previous experience working as a story analyst, story editor, or in film development a plus.
