Job Description:
We are looking for a resilient, efficient and dynamic Production Specialist to manage our local supplier’s performance (new and existing) in terms of their supplier scorecard and agreements in accordance with the Company’s supplier strategy; and to expand the local supply base, enable quick response, improve/maintain OTIF and maximise profits through continuous analysis and building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective and successful management of all priority orders, which can include Promoted Styles, Turn-Ons, Quick Response, RPL and Test Orders
- Collaborate and support supplier partners achieving agreed supplier KPI’s
- Must be able to travel locally and across Southern region countries twice weekly or depending on operational requirements
- Ensure sum of true local product planned on time and in full deliveries increased according to business required
- Provide business with feedback on factory capabilities and development status in terms of sourcing and technical skills.
- Competence in all the latest Microsoft applications, including Excel
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge & understanding of relevant fabrics and trims (clothing/materials/substrates)
- SA’s manufacturing market, customers & competitors
- A sound knowledge and understanding of garment construction
- A working knowledge of costing, processes & calculations
- A working knowledge of product components (styling, silhouettes, etc.)
- The clothing manufacturing cycle, manufacturing critical path & relevant buying – and manufacturing processes
Qualification & Experience:
- A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric is an essential requirement
