Job Description:
The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape, Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to ensure an integrated, effective and efficient management of supply relationships. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.
Job Responsibilities:
Collate data for contract performance and relations; Monitor and report on suppliers; Facilitate, renew, extend and cancel contracts; Implement and process contract amendments; Perform identification and classification of contract risk; Administer supplier relations; Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements towards the achievement of assigned projects and goals.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of the following: Relevant legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to Supply Chain Management; Communication and Information management; Skills needed: Citizen focus and responsiveness; Planning and organising; Team player; Communication( written and verbal)
Qualification & Experience:
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/ B-Degree or higher qualification); A minimum of 2 years experience in a Supply Chain Management environment.
