Job Description:

The CMI Managers’ role is to disseminate consumer, shopper, and marketplace understanding with shared accountability for business results. In this role, you will be the voice of the consumer by creating knowledge about our consumers/shoppers and the landscape, journeys, and behaviors, by unpacking consumer needs, tensions, wants and growth opportunities so to support the launch of successful innovation or acquisitions, effectively help the team create strong brands and communication and ultimately drive sales and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand the key question from stakeholders and recommend the right research methodology to enable to answer business needs and hypothesis
  • Manage and develop strong partnerships with core research agencies to deliver outstanding service levels and insights delivery
  • Cross-Media Analysis
  • Work with MMA tools for promotion/activation evaluation to understand the effectiveness of spend and how we can have a better ROI
  • The primary point of contact for all research & insights suppliers
  • Collaborate with the brand team for high effectiveness
  • Challenge the brand team on their strategy, brand positioning and purpose, communications and innovation is based on consumer & shopper knowledge and insights
  • Keep informed on trends and competitor activity across categories and disseminate important information to the broader team
  • Understands the external environment (competitive market) and put together a comprehensive competitive analysis to provide the organisation with context around what is happening in the market
  • Identify market size and modelling of volumetrics
  • Support CMI Executive with driving best in class practices– such as BHT, segmentation, quality benchmark testing, copy testing, and ad tracking into the business
  • Be the custodian of knowledge on consumer research and act as the voice of the consumer

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding statistics, analytics and modelling will be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret the market, category, shopper and consumer data.
  • Proficiency with RMS Data eg. IRI and/or Nielsen as well as other analytical modelling tools and techniques (eg. Price elasticities, Market Mix Modelling)
  • Provide Insights & recommendations.
  • Able to synthesize reports and data into actionable summaries with strong recommendations based on business objectives.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of consumer insights/market research experience (both quantitative and qualitative methodologies).
  • Related FMCG industry experience
  • Research agency experience is advantageous
  • Degree in Marketing, Management Sciences, Psychology, or relevant field.
