Job Description:

The ADvTECH Schools Division leads the private sector in the field of education, contributing meaningfully towards the sustainable development of human capacity in South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal to start up a new Pinnacle College School in the Raslouw area, launching in 2025.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees the timetabling process and ensures that there are sufficient classrooms available to accommodate students.
• Overseeing and being held responsible and accountable for the Academic and Non-Academic programmes.
• Ensures that the overall impression of the campus is aligned with the brand promise.
• Leads and manages the academic and support staff in the achievement of set school objectives and targets by ensuring that the school is a high performing entity.
• Regularly evaluates the application of existing policies and effective implementation of new policies.
• Manage all issues that have been escalated by the Heads of School (Academic, Sport and other).
• Oversees the academic policies and procedures for all academic and support staff.
• Analyses and responds to all academic issues by liaising with the various Heads of Schools.
• Ensures that academic and support staff roles and responsibilities are clarified and performance objectives are set by ensuring that the various Heads of School have implemented accordingly.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and learners and willingness to engage with learners and their families on a personal level to help children in the best way possible;
• Energetic, self-motivated and able to use own initiative;
• Good organisational and administrative skills;
• Excellent analytical skills;
• Enthusiastic, assertive and flexible;
• Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents;
• An open and creative outlook to education;

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years’ teaching experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment. Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in the same and/or similar type of position
• Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a 4-year professional Teaching Qualification.
