Job Description:
An opportunity has become available for a high caliber Code 14 Driver who will be based at our Tarlton and Delmas contract. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.
Job Responsibilities:
- Load, Transport and offloading of vehicles
- Adhere to promote SOP’s and Safety Procedures Successfully undergo / complete the following:
- Verification of clean criminal record
- USCS training modules
- Medical evaluation
- Housekeeping of vehicles, uniform and PPE
- Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Prepare vehicle for trip and operate Ultra heavy duty vehicles
- Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
- Safe driving record and clean criminal record
- Practical driving evaluation
- Induction processes
- All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Own reliable transport
- Function and location of vehicle components
- Code EC driver’s license with valid PrDP
- Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
- Defensive driving techniques
- Vehicle loading techniques
- Must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays
- Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
- Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
- Grade 12
- 3 years experience driving a Ultra Heavy Vehicle
