Job Responsibilities:
- Review and improve distribution processes and workflows to create efficiencies
- Manage the development, performance, and maintenance of the organisation’s transport to produce an efficient transport service, maximising performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets.
- Build internal and external business partner relationships
- Manage Achieve and drive the KPI’s relating to accuracy, speed, cost, people and compliance within the Distribution Centre
- Manage stock control processes and losses
- Budget and cost control
- Identify and report on key metrics
- Maintain and ensure compliance with Best Operating Practices (BOP) and 6S in your department
- Manage and plan the day-to-day operations of your department
- Manage the call centre department to ensure order booking and all related customer queries are resolved within SLA
Job Requirements:
- A strong service-orientation, high energy levels and a strong sense of urgency
- A natural aptitude for the management of systems and business processes
- A post-matric qualification in Logistics- Transport Management/Supply Chain Management/Retail Business Management/Warehouse Operations Management is essential
- Sound accuracy and high attention to detail
- The ability to confidently influence and persuade at all levels to achieve results
- At least 5 years of solid Operations Management/Process Management experience
- Strong people management skills to ensure that the Distribution Centre consistently delivers outstanding customer service with highly motivated staff
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
