Job Responsibilities:
- Building and developing a strong cohesive team with clear roles and responsibilities and clear performance targets
- Ensuring that key actions and obligations are communicated to the Environmental Superintendents
- Aligning to the various ICMM frameworks and member guidelines
- Identifying opportunities and areas of synergies to leverage economies of scale for external third parties
- Communicating with various VPs to ensure that environmental concerns, challenges and progress is well understood
- Driving ISO Certification
- Proactive review including tracking and reporting to ensure that commitments and obligations are delivered upon. (This includes actions identified from audits / inspections / directives)
Job Requirements:
- An environmental tertiary qualification from an accredited institution (NQF 8) in the field of Environmental Management and/ or Sciences.
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater
- Occupational Health Centre.
ISO14001 audito - Professional registration (SACNASP)
- At least 8 years’ experience in the field of Environmental Management and or Sciences, of which 2 years should have been at a management level or experience in a functional/specialist area
