Job Description:

Ensure that sound financial management and reporting practices are implemented and applied. Prepare and submit effective, accurate and timely financial and nonfinancial reporting to internal stakeholders (i.e., GEC) and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review finance slides included in overall strategy presentation.
• Assist/participate in the implementation and embed rolling forecast process across the total Sasol group value chain.
• Prepare forecast presentation for GEC and board, providing balanced view of opportunities and risk to group strategic budget.
• Manage budget gaps through rolling forecast processes, with regular reporting to GEC.
• Align reports and presentations with actual results and maintain their relevance to macro and micro components.
• Manage the set up HFM/OneStream system for the budget and forecasting process.
• Assist in managing group budget process to secure achievement of approved targets.
• Prepare/review final budget presentation to GEC and board forecast.
• Engage with key stakeholders including capital portfolio office, assumption team, and strategy planning team.
• Perform variance analysis against budget, prior year and forecast.
• Integrate input from business analysis team and identify budgetary targets in line with strategy.
• Prepare planning for all budgeting and forecasting versions.
• Set targets that are reflective of Sasol group’s realities, considering business knowledge, forward looking views, etc.
• Review/update RCP for accuracy of information and compliance with capital targets.

Job Requirements:

• The ability to access information from databases, forms, and other sources, and prepare reports according to requirements.
• Knowledgeable of the theory, purpose, architecture and design of the management, administration and relationships of the organization’s data.

Qualification & Experience:

• CIMA or CA(SA) (preferred)
• B. Com Hons Accounting / CTA or equivalent with 10 years post articles relevant experience
• Analytics: The systematic computational analysis of data or statistics
