Job Description:

The Organisation requires the services of a General Manager: Corporate Finance in the Chief Financial Officer’s Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, implement and enforce internal control systems.
• Plan, implement and direct day to day financial accounting functions for corporate.
• Plan, manage and direct the budget process and to lead and develop the Human Capital of the department
• Provide financial input on contract evaluation analysis.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Develop, monitor and be responsible for an accounting system to provide timely and accurate financial information.
• Oversee the investment of funds and manage associated risks.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information to the executive committee.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with the applicable legislation and financial standards.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of business processes and corporate governance.
• Thorough knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
• Strategic planning knowledge.
• Presentation and Facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of basic human resources.
• Knowledge of financial processes and policies.
• Report writing skills.
• Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Suite).
• Knowledge of auditing.

Qualification & Experience:

• Knowledge of Accountancy.
• Should have 7 – 9 years experience in senior manager finance, financial accounting, auditing, general management, budgeting.
• Knowledge of IT and ERP systems (Experience of working with Great Plains Financial package or other financial accounting packages).y and under pressure.
• Understanding of relevant legislation (GAAP, PFMA).
• Be in possession of a B.Com degree and an Honours Degree in Financial Management or similar graduate qualifications.
• Knowledge of taxation (PAYE & Vat).
• The successful candidate is required to be a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or be registered as a
• Professional Accountant with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.
