Job Description: An Operations Foreman position is available at BME-Outside Business - Mokala Mine (Hotazel - Northern Cape). Suitable candidates must have a DMR Blasting Ticket or MQA Blasting Ticket issued before 01 June 2017 as well the relevent experience as a Blaster or Blasting Technician or equivalent. The purpose of the position is to plan and organise resources in line with all the statutory, legal and BME SHERQ requirements. To supervise the performance of employees, manage stocks, manage costs, and manage quality of products and of service delivery. Job Responsibilities: Organises, schedules and coordinates loading of vehicles in order to facilitate the smooth, timeous flow of deliveries to sites. Ensures that required staff training is up to date. Implements controls and does inspections to assess correct usage of PPE or equipment and to take the necessary actions. Responsible for the operation of seismographs. Ensures that Calibration of Trucks takes place at scheduled times and that the relevant documentation are being recorded and archived. Administers product stocks and continuous stock availability by ensuring that paper work such as loading sheets are up to date and reconciled. Prepares for prescribed audits and ensures that the recommendations are acted upon. Implements controls to ensure that maintenance and repair work has been satisfactorily conducted. Ensures that the necessary incident investigations take place. Ensures that the assets of the company are protected from theft and damage. Ensures that the impact of production processes on environment are understood by staff and appropriately monitored. Job Requirements: Problem solving. Numerical skills. Leading and supervising. Qualification & Experience: Ms Office (Word, Excel, E-mail). Grade 12 (with Mathematics). Certificate in Blasting Technology. Blasting Ticket (desirable). Previous responsibility for managing costs. 5 years as Truck Operator or Blaster (including surface mining, blasting, blast reports, seismograph).
