Job Responsibilities: Doctoral study / research in indigenous knowledge systems Participation in development activities as part of the SSAU-Development Programme (SSAU-DP) Community engagement in indigenous knowledge systems Teaching of modules in indigenous knowledge systems Job Requirements: Ability to work in a team, ability to work under pressure Ability to engage with the holders / practitioners and communities in indigenous knowledge systems Knowledge, skills, competencies of indigenous research methodologies, cosmologies, ontologies, philosophies, epistemologies and worldviews Ability to design, execute and publish research findings in indigenous knowledge systems Ability to resolve conflict, build peace, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence Ability to work and engage with the indigenous communities, indigenous knowledge holders and practitioners Leadership skills, tolerance, innovative, creative, flexible, effective, punctual Qualification & Experience: 1 year experience in research development and management is essential 1 year community engagement experience is essential Applicants’ academic average of 70 % is essential (Please attach proof of results in your application) Applicants must be SA citizens and 40 years or younger of age.
