Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in faculty administration
- Participate in academic engagement
- Conduct, publish and promote research
- Facilitate the learning and teaching processes in the faculty
Job Requirements:
- Ability to develop Intermediate Phase Mathematics teaching materials
- Ability to adapt the teaching of Mathematics to students from diverse educational backgrounds
- Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and Decolonization of Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase
- Teaching students strategies for assessing learning of Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase
- Facilitation of learning using the hybrid approach.
- Teaching students how to teach Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase
Qualification & Experience:
- A sound Intermediate Phase Mathematics disciplinary and content knowledge
- A sound knowledge of various techniques for teaching and assessing Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase
- Relevant M Ed in Mathematics Education qualification
- Two years relevant or related working experience in Intermediate Phase Mathematics
- Teaching Mathematics in the Senior Phase and working with in-service Intermediate Phase and Senior phase teachers will be an added advantage
