Job Description:

The Senior Manager: Insights and Reporting will be responsible for monitoring, tracking and analyzing economic, public policy, legislative and regulatory trends to provide insights to support regulatory risk management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build data and analytics-based insights to support a broader stakeholder engagement and communications programme
• Provide input into proposed regulatory policies/legislation ensuring MTN’s Group and operational interests are considered
• Develop data and economic analysis to complement legislative analysis
• Develop and implement impact assessments of proposed regulatory frameworks on sustainability of business operations
• Monitoring and analysis of pending legislation and regulations that may impact the company’s operations, and alerts management
• Create a central knowledge repository and adequate peer to peer review across MTN Group
• Consolidation, monitoring (first line) and reporting of Group wide Regulatory risks, issues and positioning
• Providing regulatory input into business strategy
• Driving industry initiatives through industry bodies and with industry stakeholders including
• Manage third party vendors for intelligence and insights
• Monitor and review regulatory issues including regulatory compliance across MTN Group
• Analyze economic, political, socio economic and regulatory trends to provide relevant insights and support MTN’s business strategy and market positioning
• Support the Economic and Regulatory teams with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements

Job Requirements:

• In depth experience and understanding of the telecoms and digital industries
• Worked across diverse cultures and geographies is an advantage
• High level of interpersonal skills and working to tight timelines and frameworks
• The ability to multi-task and report on campaigns in agreed deadlines
• Experience with reporting tools, including Power BI & building automated reports
• Experience in telecoms environment including “hands-on” regulatory compliance, strategy and or operational reporting is an advantage
• Able to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships
• Experience working in a medium to large organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum of 7 Years’ experience in research, data analytics, economic/value modelling and/or report writing
• Minimum 3-4 years demonstrated experience with various application software’s such as crystal reports, SSRS Reports, SQL and building dashboards for reporting.
• Experience researching, analysing & reporting, to make recommendations for future strategy for business units
• MBA or master’s advantageous.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or similar discipline
• Fluent in English and language of country preferable
