Job Description:

The Manager: Recruitment & Onboarding is responsible to design, enhance, and deliver recruitment specific activities and processes in order to deliver on unique and evolving business requirements underpinned by best practice. Also, to continuously enhance service delivery, through sourcing, qualifying, and influencing talent recruitment for all levels and all types of positions. Furthermore, identifying and implementing recruitment strategies and mining social media, networking sites, user groups, passive candidates, and candidate databases to identify, screen, and create talent communities and candidate pipelines for current and future positions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end process of sourcing top talent as per agreed benchmarks
  • Find the right candidates, at the right time and at the right cost, according to business plans and targets (such as employment equity).
  • Responsible to Implement onboarding best practices and methodologies
  • Assist with monitoring and reviewing the performance of external partners against agreed KPIs and SLAs, escalating risks to management
  • Ensure a proactive service to stakeholders by sourcing relevant talent to fulfil immediate requirements
  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding standards and experience is in line with MTN Group defined experience standards
  • Consult and collaborate with business & line managers by guiding and supporting them with regard to considerations for experience and other requirements that may be appropriate for roles identified for recruitment processes, as well as the suitability of identified candidates, as noted from experience in similar or related processes
  • Ensure candidates are appropriately matched to roles in order to prevent inefficiencies and business impact due to increased turnover, supervision or training
  • Ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Drive utilisation of various sourcing channels and methods

Job Requirements:

  • Project management experience
  • Pan Africa multi-cultural experience
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
  • Knowledge of South African Labour Laws and Regulations
  • Hire to Retire service management
  • Understanding of core and technical Fintech related skills & competencies
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
  • Recruitment and on-boarding practices
  • HR operations and service delivery

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in HR Operations, Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Psychology, or related field required
  • MBA or Masters (advantageous)
  • Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body relevant to HR Operations and Service Management.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with a non-traditional FinTech or E-Commerce company specifically in HR operations and/or Recruitment & Onboarding.
