Job Description:
You will commit yourself to managing a team that delivers effective and efficient payroll processes that are compliant with the defined Service Level Agreements and ensure timely and technically accurate/ correct payroll data whilst ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will drive payroll systems developments/enhancements & integrity and manage & support the payroll team, ensuring a competent, skilled & motivated team at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage employee payroll effectively and efficiently by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all data captured and all payments made are correct and on/before set deadlines.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and adherence to all legislation, Payroll policies, and procedures in amalgamation with internal- and external auditors.
- Ensure motivation and talent development within the Payroll function
- Ensure response to and resolution of employee queries related to compensation and salary administration
- Responsible for the checking and submission of SARS, UIF, and other legislative payments as required by payroll
- Keep abreast of legal issues and serve as a resource to supervisors for Remuneration, Compensation and Salary administration related functions
Job Requirements:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CPP) required
- Knowledge of tax, GAAP (IFRS)
- Business acumen
- Sound knowledge of general payroll processes and financial planning
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Payroll System (Oracle)
Qualification & Experience:
- 5-year payroll management hands-on experience
- 10 years experience of which 3 years were at a managerial level within a Shared Services Centre in a similar size organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Statistics or applicable related major
