Job Description:

The Senior Professional Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multidisciplinary team. The Senior Professional Nurse create an environment that promotes learning, identify education and training needs to facilitate a competent workforce.

Job Responsibilities:

• Quality, safe patient care that meet evidence-based practice.
• Manage nursing labor hours and cost against the agreed targets.
• Take ownership of and manage all materials including stock and equipment that is required to manage patient care.
• Maintain and manage a nursing workforce to meet the activity needs and trends in the unit.
• Implement the Lenmed nursing staffing process to maintain and retain a motivated work force.
• Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth management of the business unit.

Qualification & Experience:

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Advanced Computer Literacy
• A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree / or relevant management qualification)
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years Experience in a Senior Role as a Registered Nurse.
• Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
