Learnership at ABSA – Transport Logistics Sector

Job Description:

Provide sector solutions by engaging with Coverage, Product, Credit and other SBUs within Absa. Further also to assist internal stakeholders to optimise client engagements and revenue growth as well as informing risk mitigation activities. Develop a Retail and Business Banking Transport & Logistics strategy to position Absa as a market leader in Transport & Logistics, providing thought leadership to relevant stakeholders, maximising long term value, and ensuring optimisation of opportunities. Oversee the implementation and execution of the Transport & Logistics strategy by leveraging and coordinating the capabilities that reside group wide.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the development and roll out of Cross Sell and Retention campaigns.
• Provide guidance and input with respect to poor performing clients/accounts with the goal of assisting to nurture them back to acceptable levels.
• Identify Sector specific Cross Selling opportunities by conducting a Gap Analysis of current Products used by Sectoral clients against typical Sector specific Products.
• Develop comprehensive client relationship management plans for all key industry stakeholders.
• Identify potential clients through interactions with various key industry stakeholders, including support, development and roll out of new business acquisition campaigns.
• Monitor and provide insights into the financial performance of the assigned Industry.
• Provide advanced specialist advice and input with regards to change management initiatives within the area of specific.
• Up-skill and train frontline sales force in respect of the sector CVP.
• Obtain regular feedback from Regional managers on the successes or failures of the Cross-Selling opportunities previously identified.
• Drive and participate in forums that positively contributes to functional knowledge improvement.
• Develop and maintain database of all relevant external and internal stakeholders

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
