Job Description:

To implement, scale and commercialise the business client value proposition/s and business life journeys (e.g., enterprise banking, direct, sector, etc.) at a local market level through the client engagements platforms, delivered through multi-disciplined squads. To transform the local market to a platform business and drive the people and culture change requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive and ensure Client Service Teams (CST) deliver on a client’s holistic needs. Deliver successful value propositions, integrated ways of working and strategic value drivers.
  • Determine and guide performance and associated awards in consultation with the Business and Commercial Client, People and Culture Team, and in alignment with SBG guidelines for own team. Mobilise employees in order to fulfil the bank’s objectives regarding customer service; sales; people management and engagement; transformation; risk and compliance.
  • Operate within the defined client risk appetite and framework which is signed off by Business and Commercial Clients in conjunction with Risk. Monitor and ensure adherence to risk management and governance standards for the continued sustainability of the local market.
  • Deliver multi-product client experiences to address business events, distributed through client engagement platforms. Partner with Client Solutions, Chief Technology Operations Officer, and Client Solutions CE and other functions to define the API marketplace for SBG.
  • Drive and role model behaviours to set the pace and create confidence in new processes to enable teams to manage challenges in the new. Embed Ecosystems as a way of work within Client Service Teams to ensure that the shared client goals for Consumer and HNW, Business, Commercial and Wholesale Client segments are achieved at a local market level.
  • Monitor and ensure that income statement and balance sheet objectives are achieved whilst not compromising customer service strategies (e.g., optimal growth of balances, margin management and non-interest revenue streams; proactively manages and reviews pricing concessions. Drive all revenue recoveries (e.g., pricing related fees, initiation fees, reviews fees, monitoring reversals, and managing concessions).

Qualification & Experience:

  • First Degree, Business Commerce (NQF7)
  • FAIS Qualification (RE5 and RE1)
  • 8-10 years experience in coverage and branch banking experience as well as experience in managing a portfolio of business clients. Experience in managing an income statement and balance sheet. Understanding of digital, open banking and platform integration.
