Job Description:

Automatic and manual operation of associated WTP systems (which include the desalination plant, the vacuum concentrator, CPP, Ammonia plant, CW, Station drains, effluent dams, Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant, waste water treatment plant and sewage plant)

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate Vacuum concentration (VC) and FGD waste water treatment plant
• Operate main cooling water (CW) and auxiliary CW system
• Operate CCP and Ammonia plant
• Operate station drains
• Operate Desalination plant and/or Flue Gas Desulphurization plant (FGD)
• Operate sewage plant

Job Requirements:

• Analytical skills
• Good communication
• Light vehicle driver’s license
• Interpersonal
• Assessment and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy

Qualification & Experience:

• National Certificate, Water and Waste Water Treatment (NQF level 3)
• Grade 12 (with Maths & Science) or N3 (with Maths & Science) OR
• 2 years related experience
• National N Certificate Chemical Engineering (NQF Level 3)
