Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills
• Maintain and encourage a love for physical activity through participation
• Lead and manage the sport staff and coaches in the achievement of set sport objectives and targets by ensuring that the sports department is a high performing entity
• Be innovative, dynamic and progressive, with the ability to motivate pupils and coaches with a range of abilities and skills
• Have a teaching/Physical Education qualification (BEd/PGCE/BSc in Movement Education)
• Regularly evaluate the application of existing sport policy and effective implementation of new policy
• Demonstrate a passion and a willingness to teach Physical Education and Sport from Grade 8 – 12
• Have experience or expertise in at least one of the following codes: hockey, netball, swimming, water polo, tennis, or cross-country and be willing to be a part of the extensive extra-curricular sport programme at the school, which includes travel and weekend activities
• Manage the strategic direction for sport, including development of facilities, sports programmes and the profile of sport
