Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and strategic direction in the Chief Directorate. Develop strategies for optimal and sustainable budget management and accurate reporting. Develop strategies for optimal and sustainable generation of own revenue. Develop policies to guide budget allocations. Provide sectoral analysis input into departmental budget fora and budgetary database. Render effective strategic and technical support to all programme Managers. Identify efficiency gains and make appropriate recommendations to Executive Management. Conduct economic valuations to determine the feasibility of proposed alternatives to ensure value for money. Develop and implement appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools to measure financial performance

Job Requirements:

Economics, Public Finance or Financial Management. A postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification at NQF level 8 in the field will be an added advantage. Five (5) years applicable experience in the finance field at Senior Management level. Strong managerial and administrative skills. Knowledge of accounting, asset and liability management. A strategic thinker who can work with individuals and teams at both executive and operational levels. Excellent communication skills. Strategic leadership and coordination skills. High level ability to analyze and synthesize information and formulate policies and strategies
