Job Description:

The Test Engineer is responsible for the analysis of business requirements using testing analysis techniques and methodology. This role requires incumbents to convert the extracted requirements into executable test cases or scenarios, as well as log and track defects in the system.

Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to the Organisation’s shared values, service standards and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) outcomes with regards to customer interaction.
• · Resolves customer dissatisfaction/complaints and takes ownership of the problem. Communicates with customers according to agreed standards.
• Collects customer feedback to help improve customer service.
•  Ensures that product knowledge and advice is technically accurate. · Investigates innovative ways to optimize processes. · Contributes to the alignment of business processes to customer service.
• Advises line management on potential opportunities for process and system improvements.
• Demonstrates the shared value “I get better and better”.
• Reviews documentation that specifies system changes or requirements.
• Ensures product data and design is in line with system requirements.
• Works with enhanced processes and procedures to maintain operational efficiencies.
• Ensures that quality standards are adhered to. · Adheres to Company policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate activity reports. · Logs and tracks the test design case.
• Ensures that the actual results are the same as the expected results.
• Runs SQL queries to prepare data for test cases.

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Qualification – Grade 12 and ISTQB certificate Preferred Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent Experience – Three years experience in the IT environment as a Test Engineer
