Job Description: The provision of specialized M&O engineering services to the OU’s in order to optimize asset performance in the short, medium and long term Job Responsibilities: Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums Provides complex technical consulting and investigation service for customers (OU support) Develops discipline specific, vision, strategy and direction setting for improving OU M&O Engineering support Manges and conducts complex products, equipment, material, services and change impact evaluations. Provides professional technical leadership over senior engineers and engineers within their own disciplines. Develops and approves discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures and work practices and specifications Provides specialized planned (and sometimes unplanned) O&M engineering support to the OU’s Provides inputs into and conducts research to improve O&M operations Job Requirements: Team player, motivating teams, coaching, mentoring, developing, strong communication skills, entreprenuerial mindset, ability to build effective relationships and delivery on expectations. Qualification & Experience: 7 years experience in specialized engineering support to the technical operations of power generation or delivery (Transmission and Distribution) infrastructure. Demonstration of prior senior responsibility in this function.
